I really wasn't cut out for customer service, it only takes one snotty ignorant cow to upset me for the whole day, and I mean upset me. I've never been able to separate my feelings on that, but it's only some things that get to me. Despite not being cut out for it, customer service is a large part of my current job and for the most part I do surprisingly well. I've not written since last week and that is because I have been working on something technical, as well as being busy in work. When I'm working on a technical challenge all my spare neural cycles are spent thinking about it, which leaves few creative juices for anything else. I've made the newest updated version of my C.V. available. This is the one that I am currently sending to any company or requirement agency that may possibly have an opening for a UNIX tech. Speaking of which I've just gotten of the phone from making arrangements for an interview with some recruitment people tomorrow evening. I almost like recruitment interviews they're really informal but I don't like how false the people sometimes can be. They sure do make a change from high pressure serious formal interviews. I always feel a lot more comfortable and therefore come across as a better candidate. That technical thing I'm working on will be ready in a few weeks maybe. No one else will think it's as cool as I will but I'll be the only one that knows how it works, and that probably learned something while doing it. And now it's almost 8pm and I like to be out of work by at least then. |
